It’s officially summer and the kick off to a very busy 5 months for me! My summer newborn openings are nearly full and summer family sessions are booking fast - and PS only ONE September family session opening left! So many July babies coming soon but first a quick family trip down to beautiful Montana to celebrate July 4th with our American family and photograph my beautiful cousin’s senior portraits! Can’t wait to share my favorite moments when we get back! Loving the new Squarespace app that is giving me the opportunity to write this post on the road, so flippin’ convenient!

2019 Family Session Dates

June was the month of tiny tiny babies! Miss Kaya was one of three healthy 5 lb. newborns I was lucky to photograph this month; I wonder if the streak will continue in July! So so teeny tiny! The Sotto family has been with me since welcoming their first son a couple years ago and I was so happy when they asked me to capture their baby girl. Big brother Miguel and baby Kaya sure made me work for every shot but with patience I created some lasting memories for this gorgeous family. Fedilisa and Marvin, thank you so much for choosing me as your family photographer and having me capture the beautiful story of welcoming Kaya to the world. Edmonton & Area Newborn Photographer {Baby Oliver} Studio Session Sneak Peek

Such a beautiful day today, taking advantage of the weather and heading out with my husband to hit up a patio later tonight, something we don't often find the time for with three kids that keep up busy. This is such a beautiful time of year and really a great time for family photos. Golden hour is the most beautiful time of day for photos, but the summer months make it difficult for families with younger children who can't stay up until 10pm for photos. In spring though a 7:45pm session has gorgeous light and doesn't push bed time too late for little ones. I have a few last minute openings in May if you want to take advantage of the early sunsets for your family photos. I was so lucky to meet little Oliver when he was just hours old for his Fresh 48 session earlier this month; it was such an honour to capture such a fleeting and special time for one of my dear friends, witnessing new parents just look at their brand new baby with so much awe and love is so beautiful to me and always brings me back to those days with my girls. When he was 12 days old it was time for his newborn session which we did in my Devon home studio. He definitely wasn't a fan of being undressed, but once I got him swaddled up he slept like a dream. Trinity and Hugh, thank you so much for choosing me to photograph your beautiful baby boy, it was so wonderful seeing you both. Wishing you all the best on the amazing adventure of parenthood. Edmonton Newborn Photographer {Baby Audvik} Sneak Peek

Winter is here and 2017 is nearing it's end and I couldn't be more excited for the year to come. There is so much coming in 2018, a new home studio, teaching my first photography class, a new website and some new packages that I am hoping keep me very busy in 2018. This past year I have absolutely fallen in love with in hospital sessions. At this time, I am not booking birth sessions, but Fresh 48 sessions can now be booked on their own or in my {Tell the Whole Story} package, which includes a maternity mini session, Fresh 48 session done in the place of birth and a lifestyle/posed newborn session as well as an album that tells the story of your baby's arrival. I absolutely love meeting couples and families expecting a new baby, and capturing so many special fleeting moments along the way. I would love to tell your baby's story. I had the pleasure of meeting Deep and Jyoiti for a maternity session this past fall, then again when little Audvik arrived, on Diwali to the delight of his parents, for a Fresh 48 session. When I met him again for his newborn photos, I couldn't believe what an angel he was, he made my job so easy, as did Jyoti and Deep who you can tell are just so in love with their new baby boy. Edmonton Newborn Photographer {Now offering Fresh 48 Sessions}

As a mom to three beautiful girls, some of my most precious memories are of the day they were born. After a very long 9 months of anticipation the moment I met each of my girls was one of pure love and emotion and one that I will never forget. The days and weeks that followed though, those emotional, tiring weeks, are a blur. The days that I became a new mom, a mom to two, and a mom to three, the sweetness of my baby girls when they were brand new. What I would give to go back and have some of that time captured.

I am happy to announce that I will now be offering {Fresh 48} Sessions exclusively to my maternity & newborn clients. What is a {Fresh 48} session? Fresh 48 photography is a special session for those new families who want the first few hours of their newborn’s life captured. Held within the first 24-48 hours of your baby’s life, these lifestyle sessions are perfect for remembering that first day forever. Shots of your little one’s tiny toes, first yawns, sweet details and those quiet moments between you and your new little one. I will come to your place of birth within 48 hours. Not meant to replace a traditional newborn session, no props or posing, it will just be me capturing your baby’s sweet new moments in a fresh natural way.

{Fresh 48} are offered alone or to clients that book a maternity &/or newborn package for an additional $250

. The sessions are 30-60 minutes at your place of birth and include 15-20 fully edited high resolution images.

Due to the fact that I will be on call for these sessions, I can only offer a very limited number of bookings per month, so it is best to contact me and book early.
