So I know it has been quiet around here as of late, but with the fall season starting to wind down you will start to see more blog posts and sneak peeks will actually be posted before galleries are delivered. As much as I am looking forward to a bit of a break over winter, I cannot thank you all enough for making this my most successful fall ever. I saw so many families for the second or third time and those families recommended me to many other families; it was so lovely seeing you all. It is rare to have a job that you are passionate about and love but that is what I have and I am so grateful to all the families who give me this opportunity. Capturing your memories is truly and honour and I hope the moments I have captured for your family give you the feels for years to come.

I still have a few 2019 family session openings available and Christmas minis are coming up soon! You can find my remaining 2019 dates here (book those holiday extended family sessions before I am fully booked!) and find more info on Christmas studio and outdoor minis here. The holidays are the perfect time to capture family memories - we can meet at a skating rink or bake cookies together in your kitchen, or capture your whole family together that one time a year when you are all together! Just because it’s cold out doesn’t take away from the magic of the holidays. Black Friday is also just around the corner - a few one day sales will be coming your way!

I met this gorgeous family a couple years ago when they welcomed baby Charlotte. I was so happy when Ashley asked me to photograph the latest addition, sweet little Gwyneth. I definitely have a soft spot for baby girls (I have three), the bond between sisters is always just so sweet. Charlotte was just smitten with her new baby sister and I was lucky to capture so many heart melting moments between these two. Ashley and Brad, thank you so much for welcoming me into your beautiful *new home to capture this special time for your family. Wishing you all the best as a family of four {K}.

I met this sweet couple in Mill Creek Ravine this summer who were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby, not knowing yet if they would have a boy or a girl. Little Emma arrived soon after and the biggest surprise of all was her gorgeous full head of hair. As a mama to babies who were born with peach fuzz I am always amazed when newborns are born with so much hair, my curly haired 4 year old still hasn’t had her first haircut. Emma was just a little doll for her session, and looked so beautiful in my favorite color purple. Ben and Kristie, thank you so much for inviting me into your home to capture this special time for your family. Wishing you all the best as a family of 3 (or 4 with Miss Lucy). Enjoy! {K}

Only 3 more weeks until back to school Once again this summer has flown by. As mush as I love my girls this is around the time of summer I reach my breaking point and start to look forward to school - the routine and the few mornings I get of quiet with my littlest in pre-k this fall. This summer has been my busiest yet business wise, so trying to stay on top of blogging and editing has been a struggle with three kids almost constantly needing something or my puppy needing to be walked or entertained. I really appreciated all of my amazing clients who have been more than patient as I get caught up. Fall is right around the corner so I won’t be slowing down anytime soon - snap one of my last fall family session openings online today.

My last session of 2018 was held at the ice rink across the street from my home and it was to capture this amazing couple finding out they would be having a baby girl this summer! What a perfect way to end a year and look forward to a new one.

Ash and Nicole Reveal Session 4.jpg

Fast forward to July 20th and Miss Winnie Louise was finally here! I had photographed Nicole’s maternity session back at the beginning of June and thought baby would be here a lot sooner, but she definitely made her parents wait - but as well all know a sweet baby is always worth the wait. I got to meet her at just a week old and she was just a dream to photograph, and her nursery was something else, just perfect! Ash and Nicole, thank you so much for having me capture this very special time for your family. Wishing you all the best as a family of three (or five if we count the dogs!) . Enjoy! {K}

Sneaking in to write a quick blog post before I head out to my 5th session in so many days - so busy! This summer has been one of my busiest yet! So many of the wonderful families I have photographed over the past few years had babies this summer and there are still more to come, which means lots of maternity sessions and so many more squishy little babies to photograph. It will be fall before we know it and the fall family session rush will begin. Have you booked your 2019 family session yet? There are a handful of August openings available and I just added a couple September openings. The days are getting shorter now so this is the perfect time of year for young families to book a session that won’t be too late in the evening but will still have pretty golden hour light. December is also a busy time for extended family sessions, so if you have family visiting for the holidays and want to have some family photos taken when everyone is together definitely book sooner than later - I had to turn away so many last minute requests last holiday season.

I was so thrilled to hear from this loverly family again when they found out baby number two was on the way, I met them a couple years ago when now big brother Jackson arrived and I was so lucky to be invited to their home again to photograph this special time. I absolutely love watching families grow, and I had such a wonderful time seeing this family again, especially 2 year old Jackson, who was my littlest best friend that day. Sweet baby Bennett was just a dream to photograph. It took a little bit to get him to sleep but once we did he was so content to be wrapped and unwrapped, dressed and then undressed. Kelsey & Cory, thank you so much for choosing me as your family photographer, wishing you all the best as a family of four. Enjoy. {K}

It’s officially summer and the kick off to a very busy 5 months for me! My summer newborn openings are nearly full and summer family sessions are booking fast - and PS only ONE September family session opening left! I would love to see your family this year and give you an amazing photography experience. Contact me today or visit my online booking page to book your 2019 family session. So many July babies coming soon but first a quick family trip down to beautiful Montana to celebrate July 4th with our American family and photograph my beautiful cousin’s senior portraits! Can’t wait to share my favorite moments when we get back! Loving the new Squarespace app that is giving me the opportunity to write this post on the road, so flippin’ convenient!

June was the month of tiny tiny babies! Miss Kaya was one of three healthy 5 lb. newborns I was lucky to photograph this month; I wonder if the streak will continue in July! So so teeny tiny! The Sotto family has been with me since welcoming their first son a couple years ago and I was so happy when they asked me to capture their baby girl. Big brother Miguel and baby Kaya sure made me work for every shot but with patience I created some lasting memories for this gorgeous family. Fedilisa and Marvin, thank you so much for choosing me as your family photographer and having me capture the beautiful story of welcoming Kaya to the world. Wishing you all the best as a family of four. Enjoy {K}
